Highlights of Bled gravel experience
You will experience the most fun and adrenaline-fueled water experiences with us.
What we’ll do: Route plan day by day
Day 1 will start with a welcome meeting, where you will get all the final information and materials for your trip. If you choose to rent bikes with us, this will also be the day when we will fit the bike to your needs. We recommend following the day rides as we suggest, but since you will be centre-based, you can choose on your own what ride to do. If you come early we invite you to hop on your bike and do a short warmup ride around the area and get ready for your cycling adventure.
You will start your gravel riding adventure by exploring the Jelovica plateau and the surrounding areas and villages of the Bled area. During your ride, you will experience everything from green forests, beautiful fields and meadows with amazing views.
- distance: 40 km
- Ascent/descent: 8000 m
This day is reserved for gravel roads on the famous Pokljuka plateau, alpine meadows and untouched nature. The day will start with a climb up to the plateau and when the climb eases off, you can stop for a break, coffee and strudel in a typical mountain hut. The ride will continue across the meadows and pastures, with amazing views, so make sure to have a full battery on your phone or camera. You will also ride through the higher-lying villages of the Bohinj valley and Bled area and finish the day with a beautiful descent back to your accommodation.
- distance: 53 km
- ascent/descent: 1100 m
Day 4 is a day for cycling under the Karavanke mountain range and discovering the picturesque alpine villages. During the ride we suggest to stop at Radovljica town, experiencing the old town and taking a break in one of the traditional Radovljica restaurants.
