Embark on Julian Bika’s circular cycling tour that takes you around the Julian Alps. Juliana Bike is part of the Slovenian touring cycling route. The cycling route connects villages, towns, valleys, passes and plateaus. It runs along roads, bike paths, forest and agricultural paths and cart tracks.

A 290-kilometre cycle route connects five of the most beautiful destinations on the outskirts of the Julian Alps. Go on a journey and experience the unique destinations of Bled, the Bohinj Valley, the Upper Sava Valley (Kranjska Gora), the Soča Valley and Cerkno.
Each destination has its unique character and reaches nature’s treasures.

Juliana’s Bike is 290 km long. It consists of seven stages and three access cycling routes.

The course of Julian Bika’s cycling tour

The total length of all seven stages is 290 kilometres. The height difference is just under 8,500 meters. The average length of each stage is 40 kilometres. And the average height difference of each stage in the ascent is 1,375 m.

The cycling route takes place in stages in the following order:

  1. Bohinjska Bistrica – Goreljek (32.4 km)
  2. Goreljek – Kranjska Gora (65.2 km)
  3. Kranjska Gora – Bovec (62.9 km)
  4. Bovec – Tolmin (49.3 km)
  5. Tolmin – Zakojca (31.1 km)
  6. Zakojca – Podbrdo (19.3 km)
  7. Podbrdo – Bohinjska Bistrica (29.5 km)

In addition seven stages, there are also three access stages from different directions to Juliana Bike.

  1.  Radovljica – Bled – Gorje
  2. Žirovnica – Jesenice – Mojstrana
  3. Goriška Brda – Tolmin
