What happens if I have to cancel a trip?
In case you want to cancel your outdoor trip, follow the following terms and conditions.
If you book your trip more than 21 days in advance, you have the option to cancel your trip free of charge and receive a full refund up to 21 days before departure (we only charge you a possible 3% bank commission and a possible 3% administration fee).
After this period (30 days before departure), you will have the option of cancelling the trip according to the following compensation scheme (refunded or paid, depending on whether the payment was made):
- 100% refund (without cancellation costs) if the cancellation is notified to the organizer up to 21 days before the start of use. The user is obliged to cover: 3% of the amount paid at the time of booking for bank commission costs and any additional costs incurred by the organizer due to the booking.
- 75% refund (or 25% paid) if the cancellation is communicated to the organizer up to 14 days before the start of use. The user is obliged to cover: 3% of the amount paid at the time of booking for bank commission costs and any additional costs incurred by the organizer due to the booking.
- 50% of the money returned (or 50% paid) if the cancellation is communicated to the organizer up to 8 days before the start of use. The user is obliged to cover: 3% of the amount paid at the time of booking for bank commission costs and any additional costs incurred by the organizer due to the booking.
- No refund (or 100% payment) if the cancellation is communicated to the organizer less than 5-3 days before the start of use or if You do not use the reservation.
In case of bad weather or inadequate conditions for carrying out the activity, the provider will: a) propose a similar activity in another place where the conditions are better, or
b) propose rescheduling the activity to a later date, or
c) cancel the entire trip. If you decline option a), the cancellation policy will apply. Please note that the operator can only cancel the trip due to bad weather. An agency that carries out activities in nature. Due to the travel time, the customer cannot cancel. In exceptional circumstances, the agency may, at its own discretion, decide to refund the purchase price to the buyer (minus the transaction fee and other costs of the organization).
The customer service fee paid at the time of booking is non-refundable. It is recommended to have an insurance policy that covers cancellations.
Please note if multiple providers (accommodation, experiences, transportation) were involved in the trip you booked. Therefore, different rules may apply. For each offer, check the Cancellation Policy, which may differ between providers. If the provider did not specify the conditions for early cancellation of the reservation in their offer, the cancellation policy as published on the Explore Slovenia Portal applies
What happens if the provider cancels the trip due to bad weather/unsuitable conditions?
If bad weather or unfavourable conditions force us to cancel the trip, we will:
a) proposes a similar activity in another place where the conditions are better,
b) proposes rescheduling outdoor activities to a later date, or
c) canceled the entire arrangement. If you reject option a), the provider’s or Portal’s cancellation policy will apply unless otherwise specified in the offer. Please note that the operator can only cancel the trip due to bad weather or force majeure.
On the day of the start of the reservation, the provider cannot cancel the reservation, due to bad weather, he can offer another experience.
In exceptional circumstances, the provider may, at its own discretion, decide to refund the purchase price to the buyer (minus the transaction fee and other costs of the organization).
