Velika Planina
Velika Planina is a popular hiking destination in both summer and winter. In winter, you will meet many winter hikers and touring skiers at Velika Planina and Mala Planina. When the snow falls, Velika Planina has a charm. The pastures turn into a landscape besieged by touring skiers, snowshoe hikers and cross-country skiers. From the mountain, there is a perfect view of the highest peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. You can also go to Veliko Planina with the pendulum cable car and rent snowshoes at the top of the cable car.
Kašna Planina
Another mountain that turns into a paradise in winter. This destination is a good choice for winter hiking, snowshoeing, ski touring and cross-country skiing. On the way, you will have dreaming views of the peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps.
Dleskovec Plateau
The Dleskovec Plateau lies southeast of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. The landscape has grown with pastures and low pines, which offer numerous opportunities for winter hiking, snowshoeing and ski touring in winter. The highest peaks of this plateau rise to a height of over 2,000 meters. A walk through the mountains and pastures of this plateau will enchant you. You can walk along the: Planina Ravni, Planina Dole trate and Planina Podvolovljek. In winter, some 2,000m peaks are also accessible. You may go to the highest peak of the Dleskov Plateau, Velika zelenica, which is as high as 2114 m, or the slightly lower peaks Veliki vrh 2110 m, Tolsti vrh 1985 m, Dleskovec 1965 m and Deska 1970 m.
Menina Planina
Menina Planina is a bit far from the Kamniško Savinjska Alps. It offers a beautiful view of this mountain group. The mountain lies at an altitude of 1450 m above sea level and is a popular spot for hikers, cross-country skiers and ski tourers in the winter.
Jezersko
Jezersko is also a popular destination for winter activities. Snowshoeing is also very popular in Jezersko. More and more sports enthusiasts are choosing to snowshoe across the white alpine plateaus and valleys.
Two attractive tours are available for snowshoeing and hiking enthusiasts: a Themed trail through the Ravenska Kočna valley and the Jezierski vrh, Rakeževa and Roblekova Planina tour.
